After Update VirtualBox on opensuse 12.1 ,kde not open ...

Last things I did
I update Virtualbox from virtualbox website.
After that I run this code “/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup”.
When I start my computer, it freezes before kde loading and keyboard not answer “numlock not work”.
I try to open failsafe mode it. It opened successfully.
I don’t know it is related virtualbox update but my computer doesn’t open desktop mode.

Thanks Advance

VirtualBox does load some binary drivers into the kernel to get it to work with the setup command you mention. I would guess you could go into YaST using Safe Mode and uninstall VirtualBox if you thought it was a problem. I have the most recent VirtualBox loaded without a problem so why not tell us more about your computer hardware like computer make, model, brand and for your video and sound also?

Thank You,

Disable that service from starting, it will suffice to try.

Cheers / Saludos,

(from 11.4 x86_64 “Celadon” at Telcontar)

My operating System : openSuse 12.1 (x86_64)
Mainboard: ASUS MN2
Display Card : (NVidia) GeFource 6600 GT

I tried to uninstall Virtualbox but problem is not changed.
Maybe It is related last updates because there is a (NVidia) display card update.
Operating System in safe mode may not use nvidia drivers.(How can I learn ?)

I also tried open with “nomodeset” config from grub. (Not solved)
What is the reason, my computer can open in safemode but not desktop mode.
I looked services that already works “run level” in safemode.

Thank you for your answer.

SO I us VirtualBox and I have a nVIDIA video card. I use DKMS to install the drivers for both VirtualBox and the nVIDIA driver. If you want to remove the nVIDIA repositories and install the driver the hard way, here are some info that can help. I see that the latest video driver 295.59 will work with your listed video card.
