after update: vim malfunctioning, root terminal opens "normal" terminal, no virtual screens...

after recent update on monday I noticed few things: some plasma or kdm issues possibly? when I’m typing/goi thru file in vim - word where cursor is get splitted by a ~ 3spaces or when typing current cursor position the same, and I have no longer virtual screen for virtual desktop (I’ve 2), and also when I’m opening superuser terminal classic terminal opnes - but that’s really minor issue. So overall I noticed some unusula behavior and it’s definitely not only vim cause also nano and whole terminal is behaving lil strange - extra spaces on cursor positinon, cuteed $, # … and I also have some crash logs - but not sure at all it’s related, but just in case

No.

Sounds like wrong keyboard mapping or terminal emulation I’d say.
What terminal emulator are you using? Konsole it seems. Check its settings. Maybe try with a fresh user account.

and I have no longer virtual screen for virtual desktop (I’ve 2),

You probably installed plasma5-branding-workspace-upstream instead of plasma5-branding-workspace-openSUSE. You can just add a second desktop in the settings though, exactly like in KDE4.

and also when I’m opening superuser terminal classic terminal opnes - but that’s really minor issue.

Known problem, the KF5/Plasma5 packages don’t contain the “Root Shell” profile for Konsole5.

I submitted a fix for that yesterday.

Extra spaces on cursor position could also be caused by using an unsuited, i.e. non-fixed width, font. Try to select a different one in Konsole’s settings. Also, Oxygen Fixed is the default in Konsole5 (package kde-oxygen-fonts), if you don’t have that installed it might use a proportional one instead. So maybe install kde-oxygen-fonts if it isn’t installed.
