i updated my 12.1 using yast as usual.
when rebooted kde4 stopped to work.
now after boot i have the console login.
if i try to do startx from normal user or from root, x don’t start and i recive a 'kdeinit4__0 file not found" error.
but xinit works. start a white little terminal on top left and if i try to execute kde programs they starts like if kde is running.
any suggestion on how to make my system start correctly?
In these days i try to reinstall kde packages, and system-base and any package i found related to dcop or dbus… just for trying, but no success… problem still here.
no one have one idea on what to check or reinstall to solve this issue?
Which version of KDE are you using? Can you post the output from
zypper lr -d
maybe you have some inconsistent mixup of packages from different
repositories which gives you problems.

Any ideas?
I cannot directly see anything in your repos which would explain a
problem. I was afraid you mixed in some weird kde repos, but that’s not
the case just the kde:extra which is ok.
startx will tell you nothing, it is intentionally disabled for normal
users so it cannot work by default.
To see what you installed yesterday you can run the simple command
LANG=C rpm -qa --last | grep "Mon Jul 23"
it will list the packages updated yesterday.
Maybe that gives an indication of what is the offending update.

Before looking into what updated on your system on Jul 20, I had again
some contemplation about your problem based on this very first info you
posted.
That kdeinit4__0 is actually in the /tmp directory under
/tmp/ksocket-<username> and myabe you have a bad leftover which
interferes with updated kde.
Clear your /tmp nad /var/tmp files (of course not running X but from the
CLI, otherwise X most probably will crash) and reboot, does KDE start now?

zypper verify
since you are using extra repostories (as I do), I am inclined to
recommend to you running instead of “zypper patch” a “zypper update”.

- dolphin can’t start: executed in xterm gives “bus error” and quit.
- yast2 can’t be executed by menu: via xterm works fine.
- konsole:
unnamed app(3682): Communication problem with “konsole” , it probably crashed.
Error message was: “org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply” : " “Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)” "
ALL WORKS IF LAUNCHED BY ROOT.
Seems i still have “bus” problems for normal users.
What think about this?

I am not that much familiar with that kind of problem, so I am not sure
I can help - let me think about how to diagnose that.
You can just to be complete post the output of
kde4-config --version
so that there is no doubt what exactly is running now on your machine
and also
rpm -q dolphin
rpm -q konsole
please try also to run dolphin with
$(dbus-launch) dolphin
from your xterm.
