Recently I applied all relevant available patches and updates to an installation of LEAP 42.1 that’s been in use for quite some time.
Only after that, did I start to have this problem:
- System seems to “hang”.
- The screen goes black, as if it were in single-user console tty mode.
- Messages that are of the type that would be expected from a “panic” are dumped to the screen, with a complaint about scheduling from an idle thread.
- Either using “journalctl” or by recursively grep-ing through the files in /var/log I am not able to find the messages that were dumped to the screen.
So far, I believe this has only happened when I was using Flash on multiple tabs within a browser.
I’ve done both a search on opensuse.org and a general Internet search, and haven’t find a mention of such a thing, so far.
Any helpful thoughts/information would be greatly appreciated.
