Actually it’s a dual boot…First installed XP and then Opensuse 11…After installing…When i started booting through xp…it’s **** slow…It takes abt 2to 3min for boot…My PC’s configuration is 1.5 GB RAM,3.0GHz Intel HT processor…Sone help me regarding this…Thanks

Is it XP that is booting slowly or openSUSE?
If it’s openSUSE, when booting hit the <ESC> when you see the openSUSE bootlogo… check to see how the system is booting and if it stalls a a certain point.
Also are there any other issues? Or just the booting?
i think XP is doing pretty good if it can boot up in 2 or 3 minutes…i
hear Vista takes about 5…

In five minutes I have boot up my vista, logged in, read all my mail, checked the latests posts on the forum and shutdown my pc
If XP is slow it can indicate there is something wrong with it.

but it takes that 2 to 3 min for just the boot screen…and takes another 50secs for the desktop to appear…
