I installed OpenSUSE and wifi was working during the installation, it recognized my wireless just fine but now that it has installed, it does not. I tried adding a new connection with the parameters for my connection like my ip, mac; etc. but to no avail. I read another post which said I might need some kernel drivers. I am pretty new to Linux, I’m going to need some help figuring out how to get my wireless installed, until then I’m stuck to the wall. ifconfig does not even show a wireless option, only a loopback and the wired ethernet. One problem I think I may face is that the details for my wifi/internet connection don’t show an SSID, although I know my network name. I’m unsure if the two are the same.
As we have aspecific forum for Wireless problems , this will be moved there and is CLOSED for the moment.
Also @spectre1982, please read the sticky threads at the top of that forum. There are advices about what to post in your thread to provide technical information about your Wifi.
Moved from Network/Internet and open again.
