after 11.3 install minimize quits apps

11.3 gnome desktop: when I minimize an app, instead of being minimized to the lower panel it appears the app is ended?

May be you are missing the task manager
Right click the panel and +add
from the list select task manager (or it could be called window list in gnome) I use kde

You can check if a process has actually quit by do this in a terminal: top
