I have just built a new desktop running TW/KDE and find that I am unable to get videos on Facebook to run on Waterfox (a Firefox clone) but they run OK on Chromium. Also videos on other sites like YouTube play OK in Waterfox as do those on the BBC News site. TW is fully up to date and in case something was amiss in the browser I installed a new copy.
Now I realise this is probably something I’ve not done or installed but I have not been able to find out what. So if anyone can point me in the right direction I’d be very grateful.

I’m using Leap, so it isn’t easy for me to check. But I think it needs the some of the “libav” packages from the packman repo. I’m not sure if that is enough.
I just did a zypper dup from packman again to see if I had installed anything wrongly but it came back nothing to do. So at least I know it seems everything is compatible, must be something missing. I can compare my laptop TW with this new one and see if I can see anything different, the laptop works OK.

Solved it, compared with laptop and found several libav files not installed on the new install, once added and browser restarted the videos now play OK.
Just needed a nudge in the right direction - thanks.

I’m glad things are working. And thanks for reporting back.
