Adobe Reader is R/O on Netware


Running OpenSuse 11.0 on Novell Netware 5.0 and 5.1 network. Using client 2.0.

Problem: when I open up a PDF which I have downloaded from the internet or email, I cannot save it to the Netware drive. I get an error message that the drive is full. Drive is definitely not full, and I can save to it using Kghostview.

I am the system administrator so I have full rights to read and write to the drive, so it is not a “rights” issue.

Any thoughts?


I tried to duplicate the problem with other programs. If I use OpenOffice Writer, and revise a document several times, recording it after each revision, after several writes to the Netware volume, I get the following error message:

Error saving the document [filename]
Error during shared access to /home/admin/server2/I/[filename]

Any thoughts? I am at a loss if this is a Netware problem, a Novell client problem, a rights issue, or what.
