Adobe Flash local settings not available for Facebook embeded video/webcam

In youtube.com I can right-click on a flash video and have the option to access “local settings” under “Settings” to specify configuration for webcam, mic, etc. But in Facebook I need to adjust a setting and the “Setting” option for local config is gray-ed out, I can’t access it.

Any suggestions?

I’m running OpenSUSE 11.4, and I’ve seen this in GNOME and KDE within Firefox.

Thanks!

I think that the code invoking flash can disable the settings menu. Maybe it’s worth to have a look at the source of the respective website?

That’s true, however I find in Windows7+Firefox it is available and I can adjust the configuration.

OK, if anyone can still help with this…
According to Adobe (Adobe - Flash Player : Help - Microphone settings) “your computer or device doesn’t support audio recording using Flash Player.”

Is this true universally for Linux/OpenSUSE? I would like to use the mic on my Logitech webcam, which otherwise works fine for Skype and Kopete. But I’ve also tried plugging in a mic to my front output to see if flash would detect something.

I’m not sure where else to go with this. I’d like some help if anyone else has come across this issue.
