Admin access blocking install?

Pretty frustrated right now but will give Linux one more chance here. I am running Win7 32 bit on a Toshiba Satellite duo-core laptop. I downloaded OpenSuse 12.2 from your website and burned it as an ISO image to a DVD. I wish to install via a dual-boot system. Each time I attempt to install, I right click on one of two files on the DVD namely OpenSuse Local or OpenSuse Net and choose Run as Admin. I do this because a few steps down the line here, I receive a window saying, “You (Admin) have not administrator privileges to complete this operation.”

This admin message happens regardless of whether I run as admin or not and happens after these steps in the install:

English
Agreement
Components
Advanced setup
Admin Error message appears

Please advise and thanks for any help/tips/info

Hi
Boot the system from the DVD rather than trying the windows installer.

You might consider installing virtualbox on your windows system first
and create a virtual machine and install openSUSE on there first to see
how it goes.

openSUSE 12.2 (x86_64) Kernel 3.4.11-2.16-desktop
up 12:11, 3 users, load average: 0.08, 0.07, 0.05
CPU Intel i5 CPU M520@2.40GHz | Intel Arrandale GPU

You might also consider creating a LiveCD such as this one: http://download.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/12.2/iso/openSUSE-12.2-KDE-LiveCD-x86_64.iso, give it a try to make sure openSUSE works OK for you as it can be run directly from the CD. Also consider where are you going to install openSUSE. There must be some free space and openSUSE can not be installed into a NTFS or FAT partition. You have to shrink or delete an existing partition if no free space exists. I have a write up openSUSE partitioning you can read about here:

Thank You,

Probably nobody here installs that way, so we don’t know how to solve
it. You might ask the developers in the factory mail list for advice.

The methods we use are:

DVD: boot the DVD and install.
CDs: boot the live CDs and run them without installation
CDs: boot and install.

Or any of them under vmware or virtual box.

I’m sure the developers would appreciate a bug report in Bugzilla.

openSUSE:Submitting bug

It is the same login as the forums.

Thanks to everyone in this thread for not only replying to my request for help but MOST importantly doing it right away! With this kind of response, I have a new outlook at learning the Linux Operating system. With that said, the suggestion for the LiveCD use worked perfectly and I am now set-up with the dual-boot on my laptop.

Thanks again folks!
