adding to m4 files

HI, I’m just beginning to start programming and am trying to get my head around the basics: I get the message given below when using libtoolize, I presume there is a command to somehow do this and it doesn’t mean I actually and copy and paste the contents of one file into the other…

linux-ckg1:/usr/local/gnokii-0.6.27 # libtoolize -c -f
libtoolize: putting auxiliary files in `.'.
libtoolize: copying file `./ltmain.sh'
libtoolize: putting macros in `m4'.
libtoolize: copying file `m4/libtool.m4'
libtoolize: You should add the contents of `m4/libtool.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.
libtoolize: copying file `m4/ltoptions.m4'
libtoolize: You should add the contents of `m4/ltoptions.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.
libtoolize: copying file `m4/ltsugar.m4'
libtoolize: You should add the contents of `m4/ltsugar.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.
libtoolize: copying file `m4/ltversion.m4'
libtoolize: You should add the contents of `m4/ltversion.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.
libtoolize: copying file `m4/lt~obsolete.m4'
libtoolize: You should add the contents of `m4/lt~obsolete.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.

Many thanks for guidance,

Adam

For any equally daft learner who finds this question later, “it does actually mean copy and paste the contents of one file into the other”. Sometimes linux is far simpler than one imagines.
