I use openSuse 11.1 for about a week and unfortunately I don’t have much experience in networks.
I was wondering if there is in krdc an option with which somebody could add a harddisk, or a folder of his pc to the remote. I have used this option in remote desktop for windows but I can’t find something in krdc.
I doubt it’s possible to do that in krdc mate, it’s really a remote desktop access tool rather than a network folder one
What you can use if you go to System, Network there’s a tool called KNetAttach which is for mounting network folders
I’m using the kde classic menu style, if you’re using the Suse menu it’s Applications, System, Network
There’s also Smb4k if you have it installed or wish to install it in Yast’s Software Management tool, not sure if that will require Samba installed with it though as I’ve never installed without Samba being already installed
Smb4k is also for mounting network folders but it has more options than KNetAttach
Either of those I suspect are more suited for what you wish to do
