Add Application Icon to Favorite Applications Screen

How do I add an application icon to the **Favorite Applications **screen. When I do I a right-click on the application I can only display it on the Desktop or copy to my Home folder. I have copied the icon to the desktop but I also would to have the application show up on my Favorites screen.

So pestocat, you did not specify which desktop or even version of openSUSE that you are using. So, I will tell you how to do it with KDE4, but if you are using GNOME you will surely be S.O.L. today. In KDE, open up the menu, select any end user application, right click on it and select “Add to Favorites”. It is just that easy. To remove an application from Favorites, You must have Widgets Unlocked AND you must be using the KDE Application Launcher Style. Right click on the main menu icon to select your menu style. Once you have the correct menu style and Widgets unlocked, you can right click on any item in Favorites and elect to Remove from Favorites.

Thank You,

Sorry about including all the information. I have openSuse 11.4 and using GNOME. The application was a simple install. I only needed to use gunzip tar commands to install.
