ACPI Unable to turn cooling device on

I’ve searched this forum and google and it seems there is a lot of this. I’m not really sure if there is solutions. Can someone help with SUSE 11.0? My log files are building.

This is what I see from the /proc

The fan state shows to be on and the temp looks okay. Still I get the message every 6 seconds.

Athlon XP 3000+

Already check for bios updates - none available

With a passive fan, do I even need the ACPI functions in the kernel?

If not, how do I set this up?
