Hi all !
I have installed openSUSE 11.0 on a vaio FZ-38M. Everything works quite great but a few inconvenients remain.
First if I close the lid to go to sleep, kpowersave will show me an error log :

Here is what s2ram tells me :
Machine is unknown.
This machine can be identified by:
sys_vendor = "Sony Corporation"
sys_product = "VGN-FZ38M"
sys_version = "C600BZE0"
bios_version = "R2110J7"
See http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram for details.
If you report a problem, please include the complete output above.
If you report success, please make sure you tested it from both X and
the text console and preferably without proprietary drivers.
But if I do s2ram --force, my computer goes to sleeps and wakes up greatly. So first, is this command safe for the battery ? Can it be used within kpowersave ?
I have got an other problem with kpowersave under kde3. It do not detects if the computer is plugged or not and therefore do not switch my power profiles. It only works at the boot : if it is plugged at boot it will be shown plugged and if unplugged shown unplugged.
It is the same for knetworkmanager : it only refreshes networks at startup, not after. (kwifimanager even tells there are none networks)
Thanks.
