Acer Travelmate B113 notebook won't recognize fast SD cards

Slow SD cards are recognized and mounted, but not fast ones(45MB/s).

 04:00.1 SD Host controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM57765/57785 SDXC/MMC Card Reader (rev 10)

Acer does not support Linux for this machine and does not offer any solutions. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cany provide additional info on the device;


/sbin/lspci -kkn | grep -A3 "SD Host controller"

Can you check dmesg output for errors or more info on the SD controller.

When you say some cards are recognized, is this capacity or speed?

My sincere apologies. It just takes forever to recognize and mount the 45MB/s card. About three minutes longer than the slow card, both being the same size, 16GB. I just wasn’t patient enough.
