Acer One problem after internet install

I have installed OpenSUSE 11.1 on my Acer One A150 via a network install which has Windows XP installed at the moment.

I followed the instructions on the Acer One Page on OpenSUSE and after booting from a USB key I got the install going. I did not touch Grub and let the installer setup a dual boot. After personalising the software selection it went off. After about an hour it was ready to reboot. After this it booted straight into Windows XP.

So, OpenSUSE is here somewhere but it’s lost. My guess is Grub did not install in the right place. So I need help.

To my knowledge Windows was installed on Sda2, Sda1 was a recovery partition and sda3 was root.

I did noticed that the grub install was on the extended partition. At the moment I have not way of running a livecd unless I can create a live USB. I have never missed a dvd drive so much

Any suggestions?

I hate replying to my own post but I got it working

It seemed something went wrong with the partitioning. I redid the install and made a new partition layout. After this OpenSUSE worked fine. I am not sure what caused it but I’m happy.
