I am running openSUSE 11.1 on my Acer Aspire 7720.
The problem is that when returning for suspend to ram my laptop freezes. Only way out is a reboot by pressing, and holding down, the power button.
Have been doing a lot of reading and searching, and I think I might have come across the answer I am looking for. Problem is, I don’t know how to interpret it, or execute it on my laptop.
Anyone got the time to check out this link:Gmane – Mail To News And Back Again and help me figure out how to make these changes to my laptop?
Thank you for your reply!
As you suggested it did not work. Have been studying the page you linked to, but I will continue testing.
Here is the output of “s2ram -n”
linux-u21g:/home/frodeSUSE # s2ram -n

When I find the command that makes my laptop suspend to ram correctly, how do I make it the standard way of suspending? Do I edit some sort of textfile somewhere on my system??
