Acer Aspire 5738 - blank screen after installation

Hi there,

have the same problem with another notebook but the same chipset, it is an ASUS X5DIJ. Till yet I did not find a solution but noticed that an external monitor shows the main screen to log in. The buildin screen however remains dark. None of my trys to solve it, worked… >:(

Any hints to this?

Even I am having the same problem even with the SLED11 also.
I tried open SuSE 10.3 it worked fine but SLED 10 sp2 also failed.
Can any body please help me out in getting this fixed…
