I have an Acer Aspire 3003LMi and BCM4318 card and installed opensuse 11.3 on the laptop.
Please if someone does or knows how to make wifi work would be very grateful if I may say
We could try the ‘wl’ driver
Please post result of this from a terminal
uname -a
and
zypper lr -d
Tell me if you have a wired connection you can use to install software for this.
Then I can give you instructions

It does not work with that card. It is too old for Broadcom. Only b43 will work.
If you have a network connection when running Linux, then
sudo /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware
After that configure your wireless. As you didn’t say what desktop you use, or
how you want to connect, I cannot be more specific.
If you do not have a network connection, then report back for instructions on
how to get that info by downloading from some other system.
f I have network card to connect cable that goes perfectly
Also I used b43
and the command install_bcm43xx_firmware ----
the more I’ve got is that the light comes on wifi
and I answer ----- command iwlist wlan0 scan the network that I have on the environment
but still can not connect to the network
This is a Spanish to English traducciin sorry if not correctly translated
You may need a reboot after the install of the firmware. Did you do so?
I gave the commands uname and zypper that is the result
