Acer 5315 Wireless works with Suse 11.1 but not 11.00 - Why

This has got be simple. Can someone explain what Suse 11.1 has got packaged that enables my Acer Aspire 5315 with the wireless ar242x to work really well, but nothing I have tried can get 11.0 to do the same. All I continue to have is AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (Not connected)>:(

I assume there’s now a driver in the kernel.

Stupid question, maybe, but why do you continue to struggle with 11.0 when 11.1 works?
