So i’ve installed microsoft-edge-dev on my (opensuse tumbleweed) laptop because iiuc it’s the only way to play with their gpt4 with search.
Please correct me if there are other ways.
But so no bug surprise, microsoft-edge appears to not play nice with KDE, in particular it commandeers space for a menubar at the top of the primary display that’s already there at startup, albeit blank, without even having launched microsoft-edge yet, and only shows the edge menus when edge is launched. Even then the menubar is of no interest. The stolen real estate is a significant annoyance. Fullscreened windows occlude it nicely, maximized windows are made smaller by it, and unfullscreened windows positioned to use that space are occluded by it. Not happy.
is edge mishandling it? is KDE mishandling it? is there some handy way to just lose it?
