About Build Service

Sorry for this stupid question, but how should I install softwares from OBS ? From locally downloaded rpm or from added repositories? If the latter is the case, how can I find the repo’s url? Can’t find it in the maintainer’s page

Not sure if I understood, use the search at http://software.opensuse.org
to find repositories (when you search for a package at the right side
you find a link to the project page and also a link directly to the
repository url).

PC: oS 11.4 (dual boot 12.1) 64 bit | Intel Core i7-2600@3.40GHz | KDE
4.6.0 | GeForce GT 420 | 16GB Ram
Eee PC 1201n: oS 11.4 64 bit | Intel Atom 330@1.60GHz | KDE 4.7.3 |
nVidia ION | 3GB Ram

No, that’s not what I meant. Please try this: https://build.opensuse.org/search/search?search_text=multiget&commit=Search&project=1&package=1&name=1&attribute=&advanced=on

It’s the same thing as if you check the advanced section and search users home where Martin pointed you
The page you link is the Build service site, it’s all linked

But you see that some of this obs projects have not even build targets
defined and so there is simply nothing to download and therefor also no
corresponding home repository?

PC: oS 11.4 (dual boot 12.1) 64 bit | Intel Core i7-2600@3.40GHz | KDE
4.6.0 | GeForce GT 420 | 16GB Ram
Eee PC 1201n: oS 11.4 64 bit | Intel Atom 330@1.60GHz | KDE 4.7.3 |
nVidia ION | 3GB Ram

for example, how should I install from this page?

The same is shown here
software.opensuse.org: Search Results

It’s for 11.4. Will it be ok if I install from that repo?
edit: if you search for 12.1, it shows nothing.

You have to choose the correct openSUSE version in the version selection
box on that search page.
Which version are you using?

PC: oS 11.4 (dual boot 12.1) 64 bit | Intel Core i7-2600@3.40GHz | KDE
4.6.0 | GeForce GT 420 | 16GB Ram
Eee PC 1201n: oS 11.4 64 bit | Intel Atom 330@1.60GHz | KDE 4.7.3 |
nVidia ION | 3GB Ram

I’m using oS 12.1. Initially, I searched on software.opensuse.org and there were nothing.

It is there http://tinyurl.com/7qqgghk maybe you searched before it was
ready.

That’s fast, when i searched it wasn’t there.
Problems solved. Thanks, man!
