A word to the developers of KDE and opensSUSE

Sorry but this has to be said. And since this is a “strong opinion” it goes here. So eat this!
It is since a hilarious long time that I am using this OS with KDE and since version 9.1 of Suse I did substitute in very short time my entire park of OSs.
Since then I stopped having problems with virus, have saved enormously on hardware because the requirements are more then economic, have saved on software, have saved a lot more time than I have lost through little annoyances (e.g. using the outstanding method of the repositories, instead of having to update all packages one by one, as it is the case with other OSs).
Whatever I could have criticized on the “generational change” of KDE, whatever over some of these “little” openSUSE bugs that “won’t fix”. Honestly…?

Who cares! My life without Linux, KDE and a good distribution (in this case openSUSE) would be well more miserable. Thank you for your enthusiasm and to continue to develop. People really appreciate, even if they do not always tell you.

PS: I thought it was a good thing to correct the “thread publication bias” that makes that we always think to write when something goes on our nerves and take for granted not to express our daily delight with this software-universe.
Have a nice day, I am back to work - on a openSUSE/KDE/Linux/OSS-PC

Thanks for sharing this. I’m sure this is picked up and appreciated. IMHO there’s a lack of feelgood posts.
All this from an equal system…

Human nature possibly. How often does the media/press publish feelgood news? Most of it is bad or sensational news, or just negative reporting. People are often complaining about the negativity of the press here for example. :\

I would also like to thank all the developers involved with opensuse, and to all those forum members who offer assistance.

It has been an exceptional ride using linux, and quite honestly I don’t think I could use anything else going forward.

The newer kde4 is great, and although there are a few things left to sort out, I can see problems being solved constantly.

Roll on 11.3

It is human nature to scream (talk) when feel pain and is silent when all is
fine. We can’t change that
