I’m looking at upgrading my system quite radically, but there is a stumbling block. I have three IDE drives that I want to retain but the motherboard I want has only 1 ATA 133 interface.
So I’m looking at both SATA/IDE adapters and PCI IDE controllers. Many of the latter specify various Windows versions but I’ve found not mention of Linux, so want I want to know is…
Does openSUSE, or the generic Linux 2.6.x kernel, support the use of PCI IDE controller cards?
