i tried different screens from other pc’s, but the result the same and the result is the some with this both graphic cards.
We need much more information, preferably copied from a teminal window. The things you posted now just show that the cards are found, but you don’t tell us if they’re in the machine at the same time or just one at the time.
Also, you tell us you tried different monitors, is that with different cables as well ?

different cables of course to each screen and each graphic card is installed on a defferent pc so it not the some pc. i have more than two pc’s with opensuse 11.4.
the xp don’t have this problem and the screen isn’t goes black for a second and he working great,so i could guess the screens, the cables and the graphic cards are ok and the “drm” is doing some problem or something else in the linux.
Like said, without some info from your system(s), I would just be guessing. Like, what desktop is used etc.
A thing you could do is check the power management settings, uncheck anything that dims the screen.
Check the logfiles is another, /var/log/messages and /home/YOURUSERNAMEHERE/.xsession-errors, though I doubt the latter will have useful information. Also you could invoke the “dmesg” command to find out what’s going on.

and you already saw the log of “/var/log/messages” but i will add that again -> kernel: [423138.045936] [drm:radeon_dvi_detect] ERROR DVI-I-1: probed a monitor but no|invalid EDID
the computer with mx4000,opensuse 11.4 32bit was too slow to opensuse 11.4 so i took some of his parts to other pc’s and left him with xp only that work great on him.
you need more information for some other files?
i have uploaded all the text data you asked me Knurpht.
First off you could have used the legacy nvidia driver with the MX 4000. You just need to install the package x11-video-nvidia from nvidia repo. You might need the kernel options nomodeset and nopat .
EDID errors are not rare. On some monitors, the signal is missing or broken, or the driver can not read it correctly. You should get rid of this error if you use this option with the radeon driver:
Option "IgnoreEDID" "on"
AFAIK it doesn’t always work. The same option is deprecated for nvidia, which now prefers:
Option "UseEDID" "false"
In any case, EDID errors are not fatal. You can always specify the resolution, refresh rates and frequency in xorg.conf and use appropriate modlines - although the latter it is rarely needed under Linux.

what about the ati cart?
i don’t see that options in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d folder.
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d> ls
10-evdev.conf 50-device.conf 50-screen.conf 50-vmmouse.conf 90-keytable.conf
11-mouse.conf 50-monitor.conf 50-synaptics.conf 50-wacom.conf
Of course not. These are default - and almost blank - files. They don’t include specific driver options. Use man radeon to see the many options of the radeon driver. It is even able to read the EDID from a file (Option “CustomEDID”). But I wouldn’t worry about the EDID. Is your monitor on the VGA or DVI port? If it’s on VGA, that an EDID can not be found on the DVI port is not surprising. Are there other problems besides this error?

my monitor is a vga and the graphic card output have dvi exit, but the connection between the graphic card x1950 pro dvi to vga is connected with a dvi to vga connector.
If your monitor is vga only, it means that it is old. And old monitors often have a broken EEPROM and lose the EDID info. In this case one can explicitely ignore the EDID with the option I mentioned earlier and specify the corrrect resolution, frequency and refresh rates in xorg.conf.
