Yes, I have searched for a player.
Rhythmbox does not recognize either *.itl, *.xml, *.txt files as suitable for import. Nor does clemetine.

Is there an alternative?

Can you export the playlist from itunes itself?

This might also be a suitable pathway…

Rhythmbox does import m3u and m3u8 files. I just kept trying different formats until I got a hit.

I must edit the m3u file to change the path from OS/X style to linux; a search and replace makes quick work of it.
