A+ certification anyone?

im studying to become A+ certified, i am pretty dang close to finishing the book CompTIA A+ Certification by Mike Myers. but i feel like i have already forgotten everything i read! ive never studied before in my life but i need some pointers

Any body whos going for or has gone for and passed A+ cert any tips pointers? whats the test like?

Am i getting over stressed over something that may not be as hard as i think it out to be?

As this is an international forum, do you mind to explain what an A+ certificate is?

Its a basic hardware and software test, getting certified means you can take them apart and put them back together and fix most problems on a windows computer. I’m A+ certified, the test isn’t too hard, as you know there’s two tests, they’re both very similar. Mainly know your OSI model, and know your acronmys, like IRQ and IP etc… You should really know all the IP stuff too, how to do basic networking etc… I don’t remember the test too well, but if you know computers well, its not too bad.

Knowledge and supplies needed to prepare for the A+ Certification test

First of all you should know a few things about the A+ Certification. It is created by a non-profit organization called CompTIA. You should visit Welcome to CompTIA - The Computing Technology Industry Association if you wish to know CompTIA specific information. CompTIA’s certifications are made vendor neutral and are used in the computing industry. Though not a prerequisite, A+ Certification is a natural lead-in to other CompTIA certifications, such as Network+, Server+, Linux+, Security+, iNet+ and others.
To obtain A+ Certification, one must have knowledge in many areas of the Microsoft Windows based personal computer. In this course you will take apart a computer, identify parts, be able to assemble a computer, and practice using different operating systems.
A person who is going to obtain the A+ Certification has had around 500 hours of hands-on experience with operating systems, computer hardware, system files, maintenance, networking, configuration of hardware and software, and troubleshooting computer problems.
