a baffling issue a website

This is really bizarre but when I go to mangafox.com

for some reason it just won’t load, when I use proxy, it works and when I go on windows to see if the site works, it works

anyone else have this problem or know whats wrong?

using opensuse 11.2 gnome livecd install

I can’t get to it either. It appears to be down at the momment.

If you accessed it through a proxy, you were looking at a chached copy of the site, so it looked like it was working that way.

actually, it works on all the windows installs that I tested. I told my friend(windows install) to go to the site directly from a different house/computer and it worked.

Is it something with opensuse or linux?

No works here, openSUSE 11.2 Firefox 3.5 KDE 32bit
Every things fine by my test.

No go for me
Has anyone tried the user agent switcher

XP VBox IE8 works and Chrome OK too

You don’t mention anything about your system.
But I can tell you this has nothing to do do with Linux in general or
openSUSE.

Works fine here, Konqueror Opera and Firefox.

Dont need user agent here on my compy, site loads fine.
Opera check, Firefox check, IE7 in wine check, konqueror check.

my build is a fresh install from the 11.2 gnome live cd

I don’t know if it has anything to do with hardware, if thats what you meant by system, vahis. It works fine on all the windows installs so yea.

I went thru

http://www.freeproxyserver.net/

And it works

yea, I went through a proxy too and it worked. That is the weird thing, why doesn’t it work then? I am not sure if this is right but I kinda remember 11.1 did have this problem too but memory is fuzzy now.
