Hi. I am a complete newbie when it comes to Linux. So I thought ordering the Suse 11 box with an advertised 90 day technical support sounds great to get me started. Hence, I got my box and indeed the installer messed up my machine as the grub bootloader was not able to load my Vista and XP partition anymore and I submitted a service request via the URL provided when I registered. Reviewing my account online I was actually pleased to see that I had 9999 service request with a promised 24h response time. A week has passed and I got no response so I thought I try the chat client on their web site. After forwarding me to several people the tech rep told that he is not responsible. Gave me a phone number that I should call that did not work (was some other product’s order hotline; nothing to do with support) and just closed(!!) my SR. Calling Novel back I was told that I am calling the wrong number, got a different phone number this time with the statement that they are only available from 1:30am to 9am PST time! This all sounds like a ploy to me. Do people have the same experience. Who can I contact to get help or my money back? Thanks and best regards, Peter.

I have used SuSE phone support on one or two occasions during my
entitlement period with no issue. It was quite a while ago on one of the
10.x retail box versions, but it went well, as I recall.
The time difference is that between the US and the EU (BRD).
