64bit OS and browser plugins

Hi all,
I’ve been using openSuse 10.3 32bit since it came out and i’m ready to update to 11, and looking for a try at the 64bit version.

I don´t think all have any problem with my usual apps except for the browser and plugins.

How it this dealt with in the 64bit version of 11?

Can i use a 64bit browser and 32bit plugins through some sort of wrapper? Or does everything have to be 32 bit, browser and plugins?

And if this is the case do i also need java32bit, mplayer32bit, for example, so that the 32bit plugins also work?

regards,
Carlos

If you are talking about the Java broswer plugin, all you have to do is uninstall the x86_64 version of Java, then install the i586 versions of Java and the plugin. There is currently no x86_64 version of the Java plugin

but do i have to use a 32bit firefox?
thanks,
Carlos

Actually OpenJDK does work… just not fully. So some Java applets
will work, others will not.

Tried openJDK and the 64bit plugin and is working so far on the things i tried
Also, flash (32bit) is working with a 64bit firefox… don’t know how

So everything seems to be working now, thanks
