openSUSE 12.3
KDE 4.10.5
VB 4.3.2
I am trying to install Windows 7, 64 bit as a virtual machine and VB is telling me that I will need the 32 bit version.
So, how do I go about getting the 64 bit version of VB ?
Thanks

You can only install the 64bit version of VB in a 64bit Linux. You are running 32bit, right? Otherwise you should have the 64bit VB anyway.
But the 32bit version can run 64bit guests as well, you need to have a 64bit CPU with Hardware Virtualization support though (maybe you have to enable it in the BIOS settings).
It should be enough then to choose a 64bit operating system in the VM’s settings (“Operating System Type”).
Have a look at the VirtualBox manual:
https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch03.html#intro-64bitguests
If you want to use 64-bit guest support on a 32-bit host operating system, you must also select a 64-bit operating system for the particular VM. Since supporting 64 bits on 32-bit hosts incurs additional overhead, VirtualBox only enables this support upon explicit request
Hence my confusion. I am running openSUSE-64
hexdump@Corky-PC:~> cat /etc/SuSE-release
openSUSE 12.3 (x86_64)
VERSION = 12.3
CODENAME = Dartmouth
hexdump@Corky-PC:~>
And I checked the BIOS for some setting dealing with virtualization and I think I found it and it is enabled VT-I ? VMM ?
How do I select the 64 bit version of VB ? I think I only saw one available.
****, never mind !!!
There is a separate virtual machine for the 64 bit versions, Further down the list.
Sorry for the misdirection.
