Hello.
I have 5 questions about openSUSE.
I hope you can find the answers/solutions.
First and most important is that openSUSE after a few minutes stops responding. Not even the mouse moves. So I have to shut down with the Power Off button and restart.
I had installed Vista on my laptop. So I created a second partition for installing openSUSE. But by default settings, openSUSE made the installation in the Vista partition. And now, I have 5 partitions. One for Vista, 3 small partitions (2GB, 13GB and 19GB) which are from the openSUSE installation and the partition that I created for openSUSE, but now it’s empty.
And I would like to ask you. The last (empty) partition how can I combine it with another partition. And of course with which one?
When I open Amarok, all mp3’s that I have added from my external hard disk is gone. Do I have to add them every time I open Amarok?
Should I install firewall? Which one and HOW?
Is there any software for watching TV? I have the USB Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick.

apparently you have very recently installed version 11.0 with KDE4, with that
knowledge i’ll try to answer with: there have been many things found to cause
that symptom…my best answer is too long to type over and over so, see this:
Did you install Beagle on a ReiserFS partition ?
If yess, remove Beagle, there is a bug in it. It makes your suse linux 11 lock up after some time when it tries to index.
You don’t need to create a separate partition for linux as it does not use NTFS or FAT32. Linux uses its own proprietary format. All you needed to do is leave unpartitioned space after your Vista that the suse installer kan use.
You can combine the partition (if it is the same type) with other partitions by using special software. Opensuse 11 has such a tool on the installation dvd or repo with a GUI. But I forgot the name.
Is the external disk mounted when you open Amarok ? If not, then the folder to which it is mounted does not exist and you don’t see the list. Check if you can access the disk and files in Konqueror or Dolphin or whatever file manager you’re using.

You can stop searching because that stick is not supported in opensuse. I know it because I have the same and tried to get it to work for hours. It just doesn’t work. Some say it works with driver Em2880 but I’m still trying…
There is enough software available to watch TV in linux, there are some nice ports from the XBox Multimedia Center to linux available via the Packman Repo, but hell it’s useless without a TV card
If someone knows how to get this stick to work he/she is welcome to provide me the procedure
