Hi,

I have a USB stick for 3G+ connection (HUAWEI E1552). Did you know if this kind of devices can be used with OpenSuse?

Please use the search function with “huawei” and/or “modeswitch” and you will find various indications on how to overcome the problem of using the Huawei modem.
It has been discussed in an endless amount of threads and there is the search function available. If it does not work, select the “basic” layout of the site, there the search function will work.

Ps. in the IMHO rare case you should have still some trouble:
when you post a question you put:

  • your version of opensuse, you desktop and version used, you kernel version used, the exact name of the modem and possible which provider did brand it, what is you exact problem (does not connect etc), which program you use to connect (network manager / UMTSmon / other? and which program version you use) and last but not least what error message you get. If not it will not be possible to give you advice.
