When i log-in to the system compiz fusion auto disables by itself after a few seconds, and 3D Effects are gone and ends up in that i have no window borders at all or effects.
But it doesnt seem to help either. All 3D effects auto-disables efter a while logged in
How do i make this work? So Compiz starts and works everytime i log in.
Im using openSUSE 11.1 KDE 4.1 x64.

Same here. Did you get a solution? Using same set up openSUSE 11.1, x86_64.
Reproducible.
Start simple-ccsm
make sure “Enable desktop effects” are selected
then close
at this point we’re sitting at line 424 of /usr/bin/compiz-manager running “/usr/bin/compiz --ignore-desktop-hints --loose-binding --replace ccp”
open any window (dolphin, firefox, etc) then close last instance of same window (if you open three then need to close all three)
Boom,

Solved:here
Fix is simple. Just point to Factory Compiz here and install.
Works immediately.
Hope this helps someone.
