How do I get the 3d eyecandy to work( such as the cube desktop)?
I already have 3d enabled for my nvidia card and games like chromium work fine.

Hi Bratford.
which window manager are you using? (kde, gnome, etc)
If you use Kde 3.5, you can open up a terminal and type
compiz-config
not sure if it will work in other window managers, but you can give it a try.

Correction (sorry) instead of “compiz-config” use
compizconfig-settings-manager
I gave this a try and it worked. How do I “enable” or access the rotating, I mean, which key combination do I need to press to get the cube or globe or whatever and is it possible to change that setting and if so where?
Thanks.
In the section for the feature you want, there should be a tab marked “Key Bindings”–from there you can see the key combinations that are currently configured and change the ones you want!
I believe, by default, the cube rotation key combination is:
Ctrl + Alt + Left Mouse button (click and hold), then move your mouse
Control Alt Left/Right Cursor also works, I tink…
