Ok before reformatting my eee PC I had compiz working flawless on here. After reformatting I installed my recommended updates and am now trying to get compiz to work again.
I went into root and ran sax2. The screen popped up and I checked 3D Acceleration and when I tested it I got an error to check my /var/log/xorg.99.log/ This happens everytime under root.
So I also tried to do this under the app’s section by opening sax2. I checked 3D acceleration and tested it but I did not get an error so I saved it.
On both of the attempts I restarted every time I tried redoing the steps.
and I thought I should mention that I accidently installed the ATI driver - PAE but it is no longer under the installed tab.
Help me plz!
