Yes, I’ve noticed that.
However, the Tumbleweed that I installed in January, and kept up to date, still has three green dots. An install from last May, also kept updated, never had a problem. (All three on different partitions on same hardware).
My system has the G41M intel chipset for video, the booting screen sometimes it shows the green strange symbols on screen instead of plymouth screen that the OP talks about, but since the system is booting up and working fine I don’t worry about that strange thingy happening anymore!
