3 0f 4 Undersea Sub-cables Asia > Europe Broken

Tech Central - Times Online - WBLG: Is the internet going down? Undersea sub-cables have just broken…

Meltdown due to openSUSE 11.1 downloads I suppose. :frowning:

maybe Mr Bush is looking to start another war before he walks the plank of unemployment.

A broad sweeping statement that overlooks a few small things like the 9/11 World Trade Center attack with a resulting 3,200 US citizens’ deaths while simultaneously trying to take out the Pentagon. Thanks to a separate heroic effort, the Capitol was saved at the cost of the lives of all on board Flight 93. 9/11 was the start.

It’s not over;)

I think you will find that the cables in question are between Asia and Europe. In the Mediterranean sea near Egypt to be exact. Otherwise people will think from your subject line that the trans-Pacific cables have broken. Seismic activity is a suspect.

Thanks Ken; fixed.

ever watched in plane site? Very good doco that uses news footage from that day to show the official story was a lie

I remember being woken up early in the morning of the 12th. A very very close friend who ran his department out of the pentagon, waking me up to thank me for having him take sick leave that week because of the visions I was having. I remember one of the very first things he told me, we shot down an air liner. He wont ever talk about that again. Other close friends, very high in their military ranks were warned to not go into the pentagon that day.

You think you know what took place that day, you really don’t have any clue. As for myself, I spent the better part of the next few days helping spirits to pass over from their mass murder.

Actually, it is over. Within a few years Americans will know there were no terrorist, and strangely, as psychics go, I have yet to be wrong.

Hi
I worked on SMW2, so the equipment I was involved in is still ok or
obsolete…

Shark bites, fishing nets, sea currents and submarines are the other
causes.

It’s very old news.

I read it on Slashdot and The register at least a year ago, probably 2.

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying.
The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
Douglas Adams

That was a previous incident.

Psychic eh? Will I ever get rich by doing nothing? :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry, but I couldn’t resist.

Repairs begin on undersea cable

BBC NEWS | Technology | Repairs begin on undersea cable

I don’t quite see how egypt is asia, but it sure might explain the slow d/l I’ve been seeing here in SEAsia

Nobody said Egypt was in Asia, but the cables in question were on the route to Egypt and affect destinations downstream too.

well the title of the post is saying asia > europe.

but downstream, yeah. true

Actually, Asia > Europe, area-wise at least…
