2.6.34-8 + radeon 7000 PCI ?

struggling to make PCI Radeon 7000 work with 2.6.34-8 on Suse.

a.) if I enable KMS the system is unable to boot (when changing
mode of the console, the system freezes) - naturally can’t say anything
about X being able to startup or not.

b.) if I disable KMS the X is unable to boot.

I am using the latest 6.13.0 ATI driver
And yes, i am using dual-screen setup, radeon should be the 2nd display

Have you upgraded the X server to the version offered in

Index of /repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.2

(assuming you’re using openSUSE 11.2)

because I do not think the stock X server that ship with openSUSE will work well with KMS.
