I have “receive system mail” checked in Yast.

When I check mail as user, I get “No mail for username”.
But, when I check mail as root, I get:

# mail
Heirloom mailx version 12.5 7/5/10.  Type ? for help.
"/var/spool/mail/root": 1 message 1 unread

With “receive system mail” checked in Yast, should I not get that mail as user?

I don’t have raid, so why is it running that MDADM_CHECK?
