I have an XPS 8700 Special Edition, and the wireless works just fine with
13.2 here.

I did have some trouble with Bluetooth, and the resolution to that might
indicate a resolution for your wireless issue (ISTR that at least in
mine, the wireless adapter handles bluetooth as well) - if you still have
Windows installed on the system, make sure the interface is enabled there
before you reboot.

There’s something odd with some of these newer wireless chipsets where
they can be disabled in a way that Linux isn’t able to deal with.

You should specify what exact wireless adapter you have.
For an internal one run “/sbin/lspci -nnk”, for an USB adapter run “lsusb”.

But, if it worked during installation, it should be supported.

Some things to check:

  • is kernel-firmware installed? Install it if not, this might contain firmware that’s necessary to operate your device and should be on the installation DVD. Depending on your wireless adapter, you might need other firmware packages though.
  • the desktop’s networkmanagement icon only works with NetworkManager, which might not be enabled. Enter YaST->Network Devices->Network Settings->Global Options, and switch from “Wicked Service” to "NetworkManager. The device should work with Wicked too, but then you’d have to configure your connection in YaST.
