Hi, i have discovered on clean 13.2 install that if i change color theme in Application appearance > colors … there is kwin crash with report:
Executable: kwin PID: 5323 Signal: Segmentation fault (11)
It is reproducible: change color theme then apply, now select another theme and apply.
Are you talking about changing the scheme? I’ve tried this multiple times and have gotten no crashes.
Me neither.
There are bug reports about kwin crashing on color scheme changes, but most seem to be caused by graphics driver issues.
What graphics card/driver are you using?
If you don’t know, please install the package “Mesa-demo-x” and post the output of:
glxinfo | grep render
I suspect it might be Geforce 6

Hi, i am using nvidia 340 driver with 9600gso now.
!!! Good news is it seems fixed. I just renamed ~/.kde4 directory and restarted. Now no crashes on color theme change, perfect !!!
