I was running openSUSE just fine with 12.1, 12.2, and 12.3 on this notebook. I thought it was time for a clean installation so did so with 13.1 and after it completed the installation I keep getting this error:

I have no idea what is different with 13.1 but all the hardware checks out on the notebook. Any suggestions on what to do to correct this issue. I do find that if I reboot and keep rebooting it will eventually boot up but then I may need to reboot several times again to get this machine up. A little frustrating.

Another kernel… perhaps a different graphic driver.

I’m sorry. Sarcasm? I don’t understand.

It could be an intermittent hard ware problem (such as failing hard drivek or bad memory) or it could also be a timing problem with openSUSE-13.1 when booting.
If you conduct a fail safe boot, does it boot reliably ?
