12.3 virtualbox repo error

hello all.
i have a new 12.3 64bit installation.
when i try to add the virtualbox repo i get an error. "adding repo… failed " .
does anybody have this problem ?

i think saw vbox in standard repos. You may opt to install it from there
use this 1 Click http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/Virtualization/openSUSE_12.3/virtualbox.ymp?base=openSUSE%3A12.3&query=virtualbox

thanx it worked.
do you have any idea why i couldent add the repo from the community repos ?

url might be wrong there. you might compare both urls and report it to the moderators https://forums.opensuse.org/showgroups.php

If the URL is wrong, it should be submitted as a bug in bugzilla so it
can be addressed by development.

url’s are different

in yast community repo’s : http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization:/VirtualBox_backports/openSUSE_12.3/

the one i added:
Index of /repositories/Virtualization/openSUSE_12.3

how do i submit to bugzilla ?
new to this
oops i copied and pasted and u cant see the difference ,basicaly the “_backports” is the diffrence.

The URL in YaST2 > Software Repositories – List of Online Repositories, is
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization:/VirtualBox_backports/openSUSE_12.3/
This would normally be correct for the latest VBox version for the release kernels. However VirtualBox-4.2.10 has just been released, and there is no 12.3 VBox backports repository yet. I expect that we just need to wait about a week.

The link provided in post #2 is to
Index of /repositories/Virtualization/openSUSE_12.3
which provides VirtualBox-4.2.8 for the 3.7.10 kernels.

so no bug submission is needed yet ?

That could be - I’ve been looking for the backports repo myself (since
that’s what I use) because I sync it to a local repo at home (easier than
downloading it 3-4 times - one for each system I have it installed on)

These are two different repositories, so no, no bug is needed unless the
backports repo isn’t going to be built for 12.3.
