12.3 RC2 - Wi-Fi adapter is not handled by network manager

On a fresh install of 12.3 RC 2 on 2013-Feb-28 with all updates installed, Wi-Fi does not work for me.
The networkmanager does not have the new monochrome icon, but the default blue NM icon. Is there some work going on with the manager that causes this?
In the networkmanager’s settings, Wireless tab is disabled (gray). Wired connection works as expected.

‘rfkill list’ reports no hardware/software blocking.

Yast’s hardware information:

Intel PRO/Wireless 5100 AGN [Shiloh] Network Connection (Not connected)
Device name wlan0, started automatically at boot, using DHCP.

iwconfig output:

eth0 no wireless extensions.

iwconfig wlan0 essid yourroutername if that doesn’t work
