12.3 on MacBookAir5,2 - touchpad question, keyboard backlight config

I’ve got 12.3 with KDE running mostly smooth on my MacBookAir5,2. All of the stuff that’s most important to me is working, so now I’m down to just a couple of details.

  • How do I enable the keyboard backlight? I see files under /sys/class/leds/smc::kbd_backlight, but I’m not sure what to do with them.
  • Is there a configuration to disable the touchpad when typing?
