[12.3 64Bit Final]-Can’t Mount Windows(R) NTFS Internal HDD ?

Hi,

I just recently installed openSUSE 12.3 64Bit Final and it’s fully updated.

I am receiving below error message when trying to mount a Windows(R) internal HDD:

An error occurred while accessing 'Windows7-ES', the system responded: The requested operation has failed: Error mounting /dev/sda1 at /run/media/JeZ-l-Lee/Windows7-ES: Command-line `mount -t "ntfs" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=100,dmask=0077,fmask=0177" "/dev/sda1" "/run/media/JeZ-l-Lee/Windows7-ES"' exited with non-zero exit status 14: The disk contains an unclean file system (0, 0).
Metadata kept in Windows cache, refused to mount.
Failed to mount '/dev/sda1': Operation not permitted
The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown
Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting), or mount the volume
read-only with the 'ro' mount option.

How do I fix above HDD mounting problem?

Thanks!

Do what it says: repair the Windows NTFS filesystem, from Windows. Somehow Windows hasn’t shutdown properly. This brings the NTFS filesystem in a “check needed” status. NTFS can not be checked from linux.

I am having the same problem too, will try to repair the ntfs partition as been instructed. :expressionless:

After read few suggestions out there, these behavior related to fast boot in windows 8 or maybe in windows 7. Disabled it and I am getting my ntfs mounted normally rotfl!
