Coming back to OpenSuse from an extended break - it’s good to be back
The only think I’m having an issue with is my USB headset. Everything plays through it fine except for anything within a browser; if i try to watch something on YouTube for example, the sound will continue to come out of the regular speakers instead of the headset. Tried looking through the forums for a resolution but didn’t find anything that worked… i did notice that while this is happening, there is no playback stream for Firefox in Kmix
if you have pavucontrol installed you can point it to make the sound come from the usb headset under pavucontrol playback option
Also a usb headset maybe considered as another soundcard
Further to conram’s recommendation, I have some top level guidance on pavucontrol in a blog entry here: Pulseaudio Basics for openSUSE with pavucontrol - Blogs - openSUSE Forums … while it is not specifically written around a USB headset (as I do not have one) I think there is sufficient guidance there to get you on the right track in using the ‘pavucontrol’ application.
Hi newcomer! welcome to Opensuse. I’m glad I’m not the only newcomer here. So is everything fix in your headset now? I’d like to say that one of the PC friendly headsets are best Xbox headsets. Also in my case i don’t like the too tight headsets , if you wanna asks it hurts on my ear!
